Open Settings → Face → Large image tiling. This is useful for large group photos whose small faces still contain enough detail.
The long-edge threshold accepts 2000–20000 px; photos exceeding it are treated as large. Tile edge length accepts 256–2048 px in steps of 128; smaller tiles mean more processing. Both options require a restart.
Try representative photos before changing the entire library. Tiling cannot restore missing detail in a blurred face. Changes affect subsequent detection and imports; existing data needs the relevant repair or reprocessing. Reduce concurrent workloads if memory is insufficient.
