WorkBuddy × Assist

Find local pictures in your conversation

Search by an example image or a description, narrow the results, and see pictures directly in WorkBuddy.

Developer preview. The public installer and connector are not yet a complete supported release. Do not reinstall just to enable this preview.

New to Assist?

The Windows desktop client manages and searches your local image library.

Already have the client?

Open Settings → AI assistant and enable the connection. Approve the first connection in the client and trust the connector in WorkBuddy.

If the entry is missing, check your edition with its supplier. Custom and offline editions should use their own update channel.

Complete your first search

  1. Open the client and choose your image library.
  2. In Settings → AI assistant → Prepare search images, select a small folder and the search method you need.
  3. Start parsing and review the task result. If it fails or is cancelled, check the report.
  4. Return to the same WorkBuddy conversation, check readiness, and continue the original search.

Connection checks do not prove the chosen folder is indexed. Keep the original folder and search conditions when retrying.

Data and access

Returned filenames, paths, thumbnails and OCR text enter WorkBuddy’s model service. Chinese semantic queries may use the client translation service.

Connecting MCP does not extend your license. Each feature uses the existing client authorization and reports any restriction.

Chat previews are thumbnails cached locally for up to 7 days or 256 pictures, cleaned on later writes. No public image host is used. WorkBuddy itself needs network access.
