Turn on duplicate detection in settings so the app can prepare data for finding duplicate and near-duplicate images.
Duplicate detection may need to be enabled before the app prepares duplicate-related data.
Steps
- Open Settings.
- Find the duplicate detection option.
- Enable the feature.
- Save settings.
- Refresh or rebuild duplicate data for existing images if needed.
What Happens After Enabling
After the feature is enabled, the app can generate data used to find duplicate or near-duplicate images. Existing libraries may need a rebuild before duplicate search returns useful groups.
Common Cases
- If the duplicate entry does not show results, rebuild duplicate data first.
- If you do not need duplicate cleanup, leave the feature disabled to reduce extra processing.
- Always review duplicate groups manually before deleting files.
