Enable Duplicate Search and Prepare Existing Files

Open Settings → Add files → Find duplicates and enable duplicate hashing during import. You can also search settings for duplicates.

New imports then prepare duplicate-search data. Refresh or repair older imports to fill missing data, return to the workspace, and run duplicate search for the required scope. Review groups before deciding whether to remove records or original files.

Enabling this option does not automatically search or delete anything. Disabling it preserves existing duplicate data but stops extra hashing on subsequent imports; it also controls visibility of the workspace duplicate-search entry.
