Add File Settings: Strategies, Duplicates, Batches and File Types

For Settings in 3.13.31 and later. Open Settings → Add files. Changes affect subsequent processing; existing imports are not automatically recalculated.

Strategies

• Global compares whole images.
• Global · Subject locates subjects before comparison.
• Global · Color compares main colors and their proportions.
• Local · Keypoints matches local textures and requires more processing resources.

Select what you need and check the options again when starting an import.

Duplicates and batch size

Enable duplicate hashing to prepare data for duplicate searches. It does not delete files. Older imports need a refresh or repair to add missing data; turning the option off does not remove existing data.

Batch size accepts 1–500, defaults to 100, and is reduced automatically when available memory is insufficient. A larger value does not guarantee better speed. Reduce it and avoid concurrent heavy tasks if memory is tight.

File filters

Scroll to File filters. Select categories and expand them to choose individual extensions, including RAW formats. Minimum file size is measured in KB; 0 disables the size threshold, but empty zero-byte files are still skipped. Lowering the threshold does not repair damaged files.

Separate video and keypoint pages

Video options are under Video. Simple mode accepts 3–100 evenly spaced frames including the first and last; complex mode uses a scene-change threshold from 0 to 1. A lower threshold can produce more similar frames. Frame count applies only to simple mode, while the threshold applies only to complex mode; the other control is disabled.

Keypoint limits, distribution and previews are under Local · Keypoints. See the 「keypoint tuning guide」. Restart when required, then reprocess existing images to apply new extraction parameters. Keypoint index repair does not re-extract features. Back up first, test a few files while retaining other needed parsing options, and check task results and database statistics.
