The app offers several removal actions. They look similar but have different effects.
Remove from the App
This clears database records for selected images or files. The source files remain on your computer.
Use it when you no longer want a folder or item indexed but still want to keep the original files.
Delete from the Device
This moves source files to the system recycle bin and updates the database. Use it only after confirming the selected files are not needed.
Remove from a Collection
This removes the item from the current collection only. It does not remove the database record and does not delete the source file.
Common Cases
- For project shortlist cleanup, remove from collection.
- For database cleanup while keeping files, remove from the app.
- For actual file cleanup, delete from the device and verify the selection carefully.
