Open the built-in 20-chapter guide for indexing, search methods, filtering, organization, export, and connected devices.
The built-in First-use Tour contains 20 chapters. It appears automatically the first time you enter the search workspace and remains available from **Help → First-use Tour**.
Open and Navigate the Tour
- Open **Help → First-use Tour** whenever you want to review it.
- Choose any chapter from the list, or use Previous/Next and the left/right arrow keys.
- Close the guide at any time; closing records that you have seen the current revision.
- Select **Do not show automatically again** if you never want updated revisions to pop up automatically. The Help menu entry remains available.
The final chapter adapts to the software brand: the main Assist build can show Help Center and website actions, while OEM builds show the seller's configured contact information.
The 20 Chapters
The chapters cover: overview, adding folders, indexing settings, search entry points, reverse image search, drag or paste search, semantic search, color search, face search, face filters, people management, pose search, filtering and metadata, ratings and color labels, collections, duplicate search, batch search, preview/details/export, mobile or PC clients, and routine maintenance.
Tips
- The guide is bundled with the app and can be viewed offline.
- It explains operations but does not add folders, refresh the database, or change library data.
- If a new guide revision is released, it appears again only when automatic display has not been disabled.
