Set Ratings and Color Labels

Set star ratings and color labels for one or more items from thumbnails, full-screen preview, or the file context menu, then use them for later filtering and organization.

Ratings and color labels are manual organization tools. They help you mark quality, status, priority, or project meaning.

Set on Thumbnails

Use the controls near the thumbnail or file item to set a star rating or color label for the selected image.

Batch Set Multiple Items

  1. Select multiple files.
  2. Open the batch action or context menu.
  3. Choose the rating or color label you want.
  4. Confirm the change.

Set Through the Context Menu

Right-click a file and choose rating or color label actions. This is convenient when reviewing files one by one.

Common Organization Patterns

  • Stars: quality or delivery priority.
  • Colors: project status, review status, style group, or client category.
  • Notes plus labels: use notes for free text and labels for quick filtering.

Common Cases

  • If a label does not appear in filters, refresh the current list or clear other filters.
  • If multiple selected files change together, confirm the selection before applying labels.
  • Color labels do not change the source image itself.
