Double-click a material item or press Space after selecting it to open full-screen preview, where you can view, zoom, rotate, switch images, and continue setting ratings or color labels.
Preview helps you inspect images and files without leaving the current workflow.
Open Preview
- Select an item in the file list.
- Double-click it, or press Space if supported.
- Use the preview window to inspect the content.
What You Can Do in Preview
- View a larger version of the image.
- Zoom and pan to inspect details.
- Rotate when needed.
- Switch between nearby images.
- Check file information and image details.
- Set ratings or color labels.
Previewing Video Files
For videos, the app may show thumbnails, extracted frames, or a playable preview depending on the file and environment.
Common Cases
- If preview opens the wrong item, check the current selection.
- If a large file takes time to load, wait for parsing or thumbnail generation.
- If video preview is unavailable, open the original file with the system default app.
