View Database Statistics

Check the current database's file count, image count, search feature status, and disk usage, and open or shrink the database folder when needed.

The database information panel helps you understand what has already been indexed and how much space the database uses.

Steps

  1. Open the search workspace.
  2. Open the database information panel from the related menu or entry.
  3. Review the counts, feature status, and database path.
  4. Use the available actions when you need to open the database folder or shrink the database.

The database path shown in screenshots may be masked. In real use, it shows the folder on your own computer.

Understanding the Numbers

  • File count: the number of indexed source files.
  • Image count: the number of searchable images, including images extracted from multi-image files.
  • Feature counts: whether image, pose, semantic, face, color, or duplicate data has been generated.
  • Disk usage: how much space the database and related files occupy.

If a count is lower than expected, the folder may not have been indexed, the task may still be running, or the selected feature was not generated.

Open the Database Location

Use the open-folder action when you need to back up the database or inspect where it is stored. Avoid editing database files directly while the app is running.

Shrink the Database

Shrinking can reduce the size of database.db after many records have been removed. It does not delete your source images.

Common Cases

  • If image counts are zero, add or refresh folders first.
  • If feature counts are incomplete, rebuild or refresh the corresponding strategy.
  • If disk usage grows too large, remove unused records and shrink the database.
