Copy the intranet or remote connection entry from the host, or scan the QR code on a phone, then sign in with a host-created member account.
Host-to-client connection lets another computer or phone browser use the image library and search features on the host machine. The host desktop client must stay open.
Steps
- On the host, enter the search workspace.
- Open "Connection" from the top menu.
- Choose "Connection Settings".
- Select the intranet or remote entry mode.
- Confirm that seats are available.
- Copy the link for a computer client, or scan the QR code from a phone.
- On the client, open the link and click "Connect to Host".
- Sign in with the member account and password created on the host.
Which Entry to Use
- Use the intranet entry on the same LAN or Wi-Fi.
- Use the remote entry for access across networks.
- If remote connection is disabled in this build, use the intranet entry.
- Resetting the remote entry invalidates the old remote link.
Common Cases
- If the entry is still loading, wait until the host local service is ready.
- If an intranet link does not open, check that both devices are on the same LAN.
- If the client asks for login, use the host-created member account, not a WeChat or host account.
