Check for Updates

The update check helps you keep the desktop client current.

Steps

1. Open the Help menu.
2. Click the check update entry.
3. Wait for the app to check the update channel.
4. If an update is available, follow the prompts to download and install.

For supported builds, the app downloads the required update files and asks to restart when they are ready. You can defer that restart. If the build does not support automatic updates, follow its instruction to download the latest full installer from the official website.

Notes

• Keep the app open while the update is downloading.
• A restart may be required after installation.
• Network or proxy issues may affect update checks.
• Finish indexing, database maintenance and exports before restarting for an update. Updating does not move your original material or delete the library.

Common Cases

• If the update check fails, try again later or check network access.
• If the app is already current, no action is needed.
• If update installation fails repeatedly, package logs for support.
