Large-batch Reference Matching: Batch Search, Review Results, and Export Images

Use this workflow when you receive many reference images and need to match each one against the local library.
1. Prepare Reference Images
Put reference images in a clear folder. Remove unrelated files if possible. Use clearer references for better matching.
2. Enter Batch Search
Open the batch search page and add the reference images or reference folder. These are query inputs; this does not index them into the library.
Use Choose Folder or drag several files into the page, then check the reference list. The page prepares search data before enabling Search. If preparation fails, retry or test direct search with a few references; the first image may be slow.
3. Set Search Options
Choose image search or face search. For image search, choose global, global subject, color, or local strategy. The result count is 10–50 per reference. Scope is the database or folders, with no collection option. Face mode shows its face threshold; image mode only shows an image threshold for Local · Keypoints or Global · Color.
Open Search Options to set these choices. Use Global · Color for palette matching and Local · Keypoints for crop-to-source matching. For portraits, use face search and an appropriate similarity threshold. If the batch mixes portraits with product references, search them separately.
4. Run the Batch Search
Start the task and wait for results. Large batches can take time.
5. Review Row by Row
Each reference has its own result row. Compare candidates and keep the best match.
The reference is on the left and candidates are on the right. An empty row may still be waiting or processing, or may have failed; check its state before concluding that there are no matches.
This example uses three landscape references, Global strategy, the whole database and a maximum of 20 results per reference. Each row returned 8 images. The first two are the source and an identical backup, both at 100%; this is an example result, not an accuracy guarantee for other images.
6. Expand More Results
Click View More on the right of a row to open already-returned candidates; it does not request additional search results. Preview the leading candidates before delivery; thumbnails alone can hide meaningful differences. Adjust options and rerun if the available candidates are insufficient.
7. Export the Whole Batch
Click Export Results at the top. Confirm the number of result rows and choose a destination. Each row with exportable results is saved to a numbered folder such as 1 or 2. Empty rows are skipped, so folder numbers are not fixed original reference-row numbers; check the correspondence before handoff.
This action exports the current result images, not references, a table, or a path list. It is not limited to a candidate you reviewed or selected. Read the success and failure counts. If any file fails, check access to the original, destination permissions, and free space before treating the delivery as complete.
Common Cases
- Results are too noisy: narrow scope, adjust a threshold when the selected mode offers one, or crop references first.
- A completed row has no matches: broaden scope or change options. Pending or failed rows are not evidence of no matches.
- Face references fail: use clearer face images.
